The consortium has been formed considering partners’ experience in the project subject area and the corresponding activities, as well as the relevance of the topics in the partners’ context.

Prosveta-Sofia Foundation is a non-government non-profit organization. It is a legal entity with non-profit public benefit. Its mission is to support the modernization of Bulgarian education and work to improve its quality. It supports the implementation of leading European and world standards in Bulgarian school education through various initiatives.

Prosveta Sofia Foundation has good experience in managing large scale projects in school education specifically related to creating teaching contents on various topics. We have successfully implemented the “Otherness”, ME-YOU- US and YESI projects. Apart from the general management experience, the foundation has sustainable interest in initiatives aimed at supporting disadvantaged students to have them integrated better in school life and achieve better results in the teaching and learning process. The foundation has been involved in a number of projects at national and international levels meant to meet the needs of students who have special needs, e.g. illiterate or poorly literate students, socially disadvantaged students, etc.

Prosveta Publishing group, with Prosveta Foundation playing an active role in the organization and delivering the training seminars and courses, has been certified by the Ministry of education as a training provider for the training courses “Interactive strategies and methods of learning in Nature Studies in primary school”; “Bilinguals and inclusive education“ and “Effective solutions and approaches in inclusive education. Adapting the teaching and learning process for children and students with challenging behavior.“

AECE – Agrupamento de Escolas Cidade do Entroncamento (Portugal)

AECE is a larger schooling cluster that gathers three primary schools within a nursery school, a middle school and a secondary school. Specifically, Escola Básica da Zona Verde is regarded as a regional reference school for autism. The school supportive learning centre develops several inclusive activities not only for students with difficulties but also for all the students who are attending the school. The main goal is to prepare all the students for future life. The supportive learning centre aims to teach awareness and acceptance in order to make difference invisible and commonly accepted as equal. Consequently, the entire school community is involved in its activities. In Zona Verde school all the teachers and staff are specialised or have a large acquired experience in working with autistic children and children with learning or behaviour difficulties, including the school assistants who have acquired many years of experience, as well as ongoing training that qualifies them to help working with these students.

Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (IPSantarem) – Portugal

IPSantarém is a public polytechnic higher education institution, at the service of society, committed to the high-level qualification of citizens, aimed at the production and dissemination of knowledge, creation, transmission and dissemination of knowledge of a professional nature, culture, science, of technology, the arts, guided research and experimental development, highlighting the centrality of the student and the surrounding community, within an international reference framework.

The various Schools offer bachelor’s, master’s and postgraduate courses, as well as higher professional technical courses. It has been possible, in some training areas, to use b-learning training.

IPSantarém promotes institutional cooperation and effective mobility of all its agents, both nationally and internationally – namely in the European higher education space and in the community of Portuguese-speaking countries – participates in activities to connect society, disseminate/ transfer and economic valorization of knowledge and ensures citizens’ access to higher education and lifelong learning.

IPSantarém maintains a close connection with the community and regional business, intensifying this relationship to provide training adapted to regional needs.

The National Association of Resource Teachers in Bulgaria (NART) is a national umbrella non-profit organization for professionals working for full and quality integration, inclusion and education of children with different abilities and needs in mainstream education.

Our goal is to promote continuous improvement of the quality of education and social services in support of integration and inclusion of all children in Bulgaria. NART has over 1100 members who are resource teachers, psychologists, speech therapists and other educational specialists throughout the country – in schools and kindergartens. The main objective of NART is to support inclusion of children and youth with special needs comprising the efforts of qualified specialists in the fields.

We organize many extracurricular activities for children and youth with disabilities and activities with their parents and relatives. NART provides trainings for teachers and pedagogical specialists, workshops, maintains groups in social networks for the professionals in our field of interest. The resource teachers are active members and hold board positions within the organization. We rely on the regional sections of NART which have been subsequently created in all Bulgarian regional cities. At the same time we have an organizational and technical capacity to work on the implementation of projects. We believe that through our projects we can assist in spreading useful inclusion practices throughout Europe, as well as share knowledge and expertise by creating networks and partnerships. NART is a member of the National Network for Children (NMD), a network of more than 140 Bulgarian NGOs in the field of education and youth.

NART works to enhance professional practice for teachers of special education and to build public support for high quality special education programs.

Antalya Provincial Directorate for National Education (APDNE) – Turkey

Antalya Provincial Directorate for National Education is a local public authority and in charge with the planning and coordination of all kinds of educational and training activities from pre-school education to the end of the secondary education in Antalya Province including 5 central and 14 provincial districts. 19 District National Education Directorate offices, 167 high schools, 85 Vocational High School with different branches,655 primary schools and 52 kinder gardens are within the responsibility of the National Directorate of Education of Antalya Province. Antalya Provincial Directorate for National Education proceeds education and teaching with teachers in the direction of modern principals and improvements in education. Its aim is to bring up persons who are corresponding EU norms, accommodating random living conditions, secular, free, democratic in bright of intelligence and science. Assigning cultural heritage by increasing the qualification of education, carving out history consciousness, respectful to human rights and environment. Every year it gives trainings to new teachers and at the same time it organizes in-service trainings for teachers in the city. We also plan and implement the curriculum of education every year to apply in the schools.
